"Free Scrap Metal"

Scrap metal isn't just found on job sites. Many people have scrap metal, old air conditioners, and old appliances in their homes that are just collecting dust because they don't know what to do with it.

Right before writing this post, I was looking on Craigslist for free items people were giving away.  After just looking at the website for about 10 minutes, I had already seen about 10 TVs free for pick up, an old copier, an old fax machine, a metal slop sink, and even a post titled "Free Scrap Metal."

If you're skipping over online sources like Craigslist, then you could really be missing out on extra scrap metal and extra cash!

Another way to find items that maybe worth scrapping is FreeCycle.org which lets users post materials that they are looking to get rid of.

Remember, their trash may be your treasure!

Once you find your new treasure, use the iScrap App to find the closest scrap yard to you to cash in on your new findings!

Do you already use the Internet in your search for more scrap metal?

What was the best item you've ever found? and what site did you use to find it?
